1991 Topps traded

I'm on summer vacation! That means I'm back in America and enjoying family, friends, and baseball.

Last Sunday I drove from Wisconsin to Kokomo, Indiana. Along the way I stopped at the Baseball card Exchange in Schererville, IN. I wanted to pick up some junk wax for my kids. I ended up buying them a box of 1990 Topps.

For myself, I wanted to buy something I did not have, yet not break the bank. i bought a box of 1990 and 1991 Topps Traded wax boxes and a box of 1993 Topps Stadium Club, Series 1. I think I paid a total of $21 bucks for the three boxes.

Today I'll post some of the highlights of the 1991 Traded wax box.

The set consists 132 cards. It includes rookies, managers and Team USA cards. I fell one card short of completing the set (#74).

Jeff Bagwell was the most prominent rookie in the set.

It was fun to see who was in the set. I did not have this set so all of these cards were new to me.

Boy, these guys look young.

This is going to prove to be a great move for Alomar.

I didn't realize that Gary Carter played for the Dodgers. He played 101 games for the Dodgers.

Willie Randolph played one year for the crew. He hit .327, one of the highest single season averages for the Brewers. He also finished with a WAR of 4.3. Not bad for a 36 year old.
